Faith Still Moves Mountains Miraculous Stories of the Healing Power of Prayer
$ 17,00
INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!
From FOX News anchor and author Harris Faulkner comes a collection of powerful, true-life stories of resilience, healing, rescue, and protection.
We need reminders of God’s power now more than ever.
We often think about prayer as a wish list, with God as Santa Claus. The reality is that the power of prayer reminds us not only how small we are, but also how big God is. Prayer is hope put into action. And prayer works.
From the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti to the theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado, believers testify to how God inspired hope even when all seemed lost.
Two teenagers who were saved from treacherous seas by a vessel named Amen now give thanks for the rescue that changed their lives. A woman’s near-death experience with COVID-19 turned out to be the crisis freeing her from despair. Others speak to how prayer helped them navigate family trauma, overcome abuse, and cope with mental illness and depression. Historical accounts of miracles testify to God’s power throughout time, and Faulkner recounts the role of faith and prayer in her own life and the life of her father.
Along with these stories of God’s presence, the book includes an exclusive packet of newly written prayers. Created to reflect the current times, this prayer booklet will provide a road map for putting the lessons of these stories into action.
Faith Still Moves Mountains reminds us that God’s light always shines through the darkness. Through these testimonies, we learn prayer isn’t just a ritual, it’s a vital spiritual strategy in a world that wants us to give up the fight.

The Nurse’s Secret A Thrilling Historical Novel of the Dark Side of Gilded Age New York City
The unflinching, spellbinding new book from the acclaimed author of The Second Life of Mirielle West. Based on the little-known story of America’s first nursing school, a young female grifter in 1880s New York evades the police by conning her way into Bellevue Hospital’s training school for nurses, while a spate of murders continues to follow her as she tries to leave the gritty streets of the city behind…
“A spellbinding story, a vividly drawn setting, and characters that leap off the pages. This is historical fiction at its finest!” – Sara Ackerman, USA Today bestselling author of The Codebreaker’s SecretBookBub’s Best Historical Fiction of Summer
Based on Florence Nightingale’s nursing principles, Bellevue is the first school of its kind in the country. Where once nurses were assumed to be ignorant and unskilled, Bellevue prizes discipline, intellect, and moral character, and only young women of good breeding need apply. At first, Una balks at her prim classmates and the doctors’ endless commands. Yet life on the streets has prepared her for the horrors of injury and disease found on the wards, and she slowly gains friendship and self-respect.
Just as she finds her footing, Una’s suspicions about a patient’s death put her at risk of exposure, and will force her to choose between her instinct for self-preservation, and exposing her identity in order to save others.
Amanda Skenandore brings her medical expertise to a page-turning story that explores the evolution of modern nursing—including the grisly realities of nineteenth-century medicine—as seen through the eyes of an intriguing and dynamic heroine.
PRAISE FOR AMANDA SKENANDORE’S
THE SECOND LIFE OF MIRIELLE WEST“In this superior historical, the author’s diligent research, as well as her empathetic depiction of those subjected to forced medical isolation, make this a winner.” —

Where the Crawdads Sing
NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE—The #1 New York Times bestselling worldwide sensation with more than 15 million copies sold, hailed by The New York Times Book Review as “a painfully beautiful first novel that is at once a murder mystery, a coming-of-age narrative and a celebration of nature.” For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved. When two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life—until the unthinkable happens. Where the Crawdads Sing is at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age story, and a surprising tale of possible murder. Owens reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were, and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps. -

She rescues the slip and, learning that the word means “slave girl,” begins to collect other words that have been discarded or neglected by the dictionary men.As she grows up, Esme realizes that words and meanings relating to women’s and common folks’ experiences often go unrecorded. And There Was Light Abraham Lincoln and the American Struggle
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Pulitzer Prize–winning biographer Jon Meacham chronicles the life of Abraham Lincoln, charting how—and why—he confronted secession, threats to democracy, and the tragedy of slavery to expand the possibilities of America.A president who governed a divided country has much to teach us in a twenty-first-century moment of polarization and political crisis. Hated and hailed, excoriated and revered, Abraham Lincoln was at the pinnacle of American power when implacable secessionists gave no quarter in a clash of visions bound up with money, race, identity, and faith. In him we can see the possibilities of the presidency as well as its limitations.
At once familiar and elusive, Lincoln tends to be seen as the greatest of American presidents—a remote icon—or as a politician driven more by calculation than by conviction. This illuminating new portrait gives us a very human Lincoln—an imperfect man whose moral antislavery commitment, essential to the story of justice in America, began as he grew up in an antislavery Baptist community; who insisted that slavery was a moral evil; and who sought, as he put it, to do right as God gave him to see the right.
This book tells the story of Lincoln from his birth on the Kentucky frontier in 1809 to his leadership during the Civil War to his tragic assassination in 1865: his rise, his self-education, his loves, his bouts of depression, his political failures, his deepening faith, and his persistent conviction that slavery must end. In a nation shaped by the courage of the enslaved of the era and by the brave witness of Black Americans, Lincoln’s story illustrates the ways and means of politics in a democracy, the roots and durability of racism, and the capacity of conscience to shape events.

Which is why a few years later Elizabeth Zott finds herself not only a single mother, but the reluctant star of America’s most beloved cooking show

She’s daring them to change the status quo.Laugh-out-loud funny, shrewdly observant, and studded with a dazzling cast of supporting characters,

My 93 year old mother loves Harris F. and wanted this book but she is now legally blind. I bought it for us and have been reading a story every time I visit her at home, usually 2 or 3 times per week. We are both retired elementary school teachers. We both love this book! I have cried while reading these stories to her because they are so moving, some more than others. I highly recommend it to anyone. Pam T.

Harris has given me a wonderful guide for praying. I bought one for my niece who is going through a divorce and the dad is not dependable to help with their 4 year old autistic child or his 8 year old who knows that she is no longer “daddy’s little girl” My niece has great Faith in God and takes her children to church but I found that a little help is always needed✝️🙏♥️

Love the approach this book takes. To hear her talk about it, it’s more than something she does, but something she lives. The power of prayer in the life of a follower of Christ is not just good, it’s essential. The benefits are, as she says, able to move mountain. It’s a win-win!
Ann
I like the stories of real people. I did not know before this that Harris Faulkner was a woman of such strongfaith. I admire her even more now, not that I didn’t admire her before.
ritab
I am just now reading this book and have been somewhat disappointed. I can’t understand if Harris Faulkner is actually writing these stories or if she has gotten them from those that experienced them.
Female
Such an inspiring book. Harris Faulkner has and presents a positive outlook on life which is so refreshing these days. Her book helped remind me what my values and beliefs are and how I can live them more authentically. I’m grateful for having read it.

Exceptionally well-written and organized stories of how God still performs miracles – they were not limited to the Old and New Testament.I loved the way the stories were recounted: the level of detail, the “connecting of the dots”, the concise presentation of each story, the way they were broken up into critical elements of faith and prayer. Highly recommend it to anyone, whether they are strong in their faith, struggling, or don’t currently believe but are looking for meaning and understanding in this life. What I appreciated the most is that this book is not a “cheerleader” for faith. It fully acknowledges that terrible things happen in life, we don’t always understand them, and we may not get the answer we were hoping for (at least not in this life). However, it is a forceful reminder that, despite the above, there is still a strength, courage, and peace that can come through faith and prayer despite.

We need Jesus & we need to pray. I will keep all these miracles in mind if I doubt. Please share.
Libby
This book is made up of individual stories about how real people have been touched by God’s hand during life altering circumstances. It is awe inspiring. A true blessing to read. Thank you, Harris Faulkner.

Christ is the reason for the season —I bought Harris’s book as a gift to family members to remember God wants our prayers and answers them if we just ask
